About UniformedPay
UniformedPay is a fast, independent reference for United States federal and military pay. It covers the General Schedule (GS), military basic pay, the Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH), the Senior Executive Service (SES), and the Executive Schedule. These are the pay systems most federal employees and service members are actually paid under.
Every figure on this site comes from public-domain United States government pay data: the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), and the Department of Defense (DoD/DTMO). US federal government works are public domain under 17 U.S.C. §105, which is why we can republish these tables in full. We update within days of each official release. UniformedPay is published by Inventum.
Content is authored and maintained by UniformedPay Editorial, the site's in-house team. We do not attribute pay data to individual authors. The figures are the government's; our job is to present them accurately and keep them current.
UniformedPay is an independent reference tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to OPM, the Department of Defense, DFAS, or any United States government agency. We republish public data for convenience. We are not a government service and cannot determine, authorize, or pay anyone's salary.
As worked examples: a GS-12, Step 5 employee in the Washington-Baltimore locality area is paid $116,071 in 2026, and the Senior Executive Service pay range begins at $151,661. You can trace those figures, and every other number on the site, back to the official source on our methodology page.
